A precise and resilient construction – the foundations for perfect sound
The APM Fire range displays enormous resilience. As a result, only robust and resistant components are used, such as a stable steel basket and multi-pressed paper cone. Given that high loads generate a significant amount of heat, additional voice-coil ventilation was integrated in order to dissipate heat in an optimum manner. For an absolutely symmetrical construction, the suspension and magnetic field have been tested and optimised by using the laser-assisted Klippel measurement system. As is the case for other measurement systems, it is not only low-level signals that are used, but genuine music and speech are simulated as well.
Carefully selected materials for a coherent overall concept
High levels of efficiency are also key to an efficient transducer. This is realised by way of a multi-pressed and coated paper cone for the APM Fire range. A foam surround with a particularly low weight supports this. Both the tweeter and midrange driver are anodised to create a perfect visual appearance.
Distinctive, stylish, extravagant
For transducers, the name is the APM Fire range program. The fire red design of the cone surface area indicates a healthy level of self-confidence and exudes a certain extravagance. The grille with aluminium diamond-cut logo creates a stylish yet understated contrast.
